A live performance can be one part of an event, or it can help shape the entire night. For this live entertainment social event, Moonlight Studios Chicago supported an evening that brought together a concert, specialty performers, custom environments, outdoor activations, hospitality, and multiple spaces for guests to gather.

Flo Rida took the main stage for a live performance backed by a DJ, additional performers, large-format video, and concert lighting. The performance did not stay onstage either. Flo Rida moved into the crowd, bringing the entertainment directly into the main event space and giving guests a closer connection to the performance.

Elsewhere inside the venue, aerialists performed on teal silks rigged overhead. Custom draping, chandeliers, greenery, lounge furniture, projection, and scenic elements helped divide the open floor plan into distinct areas for guests to explore. Rather than building this live entertainment social event around a single focal point, entertainment and design were incorporated throughout the venue.

The programming continued outside in our courtyard, where a full boxing ring created another unexpected entertainment moment. The outdoor space also included cocktail areas, seating, food and beverage stations, greenery, and custom installations. As the evening continued, string lighting and illuminated scenic elements shifted the look of the courtyard for nighttime programming.

For planners, having both indoor and outdoor space creates more options for how an event can unfold. A cocktail hour can lead into dinner, a specialty performance can happen overhead, guests can move outside for another activation, and a headlining artist can take the stage later in the evening without changing venues.

Our space can accommodate the production requirements that come with a live entertainment social event, including staging, professional audio, lighting, large-format video, aerial rigging, and custom installations. At the same time, there is room for dining, lounges, hospitality, and other guest-focused areas around the entertainment.

This live entertainment social event showed how much programming can happen under one roof. From Flo Rida on the main stage to aerial performances overhead and a boxing ring in the courtyard, each area of Moonlight Studios Chicago became part of the night.
